With minor modifications it does catch bluegill, which is what I wanted. Price is great and for some one just wants to use it once in a while its a great deal. For commercial use I would think twice. Used it once and stored in garage. Probably wont use again this year. Mine did not work on arrival had to shorten the string to make the funnel deeper inside the case, no big deal. after the 3rd try using catfish food caught 1/2 doz or more 3 inch blue gill and quit..OK works for me. Probably could a used my fishing pole for this many, but hey woud a missed the fun of trapping!

Catches fish fine. After 2 hours in the water it was ripped to shreds. May as well be made of paper. I believe a turtle just tore right into it and ripped it apart since we have several in the area. Otherwise, based on the poor quality, the minnows tore through it. Either way, it won't last a day.

This product worked well to catch the baby fish for a few days. After that they figured out how to get out or stay out of it. Once it was removed from the water, the wire coil started rusting within days. The price makes it a great deal.

You get what you pay for. Got it to give it a shot. Lasted 4 days tops. Wire is not coated so rusts. Sharp edges cause tears in the netting. Best to spend money to keep your catch.
