Great all around instrument for the home DIYer. Meter & scope 50MHz. Useful for automotive t/s. Electronic repairs. As these get older and cheaper be aware of damage/neglect. The keypad is likely bad but is an easy fix costing about $50. Watch for dead pixels or lines in the screen. Batteries left in too long can explode and cause serious internal corrosion damage. Unique power supply.

I have had an unusable Fluke 99 Scopemeter sitting in my toolbox because of several inoperative push button switches. This upgrade replacement board fixed all the bad switches and saved me from having to invest in a new Scopemeter. The new printed circuit board is an enormous improvement over the flexible Fluke membrane, and should last the life of the Scope. The thickness of the board was not an issue, which another reviewer mentioned, and the case fit together perfectly. This company has designed a very high quality board at a very reasonable price!

Backlight needs replacing, but it's 30 years old so, like, that's not unexpected. Would have enjoyed the complete probe set, but most of the attachments are there so I suppose I can make do.

The original keypad was starting to fail, in particular the power button was getting very unreliable due to a fractured trace. As these scopes have been obsolete for years now original spares are impossible to get, so as a last resort I got this. The delivery was prompt and arrived well within the estimated time. The replacement dropped in place and the scope now sees all the keys with no trouble. The one thing worth mentioning is that the board is a bit thicker than the original, this means the case doesn't fit quite flush any more. However this is minor and is hidden behind the rubber outer protective case. In other words it's not perfect but it is good enough which is why I'm still giving 5stars.

The only problem of course is the thickness, that will make the housing of the scopemeter to not close completely, by about 0.020" Other than that, perfect solution to the problem
