I have only skimmed this item, but I am looking forward to reading it with my children. It's premise is that small children can enjoy history if presented in the proper way. Also that children will appreciate American history if they have an understanding of societies that came before. This is available from Greenleaf or Memoria Press Publishing. Has a Christian viewpoint. Larger print. Color pictures in later editions.
This book is wonderful for children studying Roman history. The stories are short, interesting, and have clear structure for children learning to extract the main point. It is a great match to Famous Men of Greece, and a good addition to a classical home school program.
Large Print for easy reading and questions help the student stay focused on subject matter. Gives a good explanation of Roman history.
