This film is mostly good, and definately worth a look. With a few exceptions the acting is satisfactory/good (a rarity with many horror films), and the story is both interesting and original. Development of the story and the characters was a bit less than desired, and left me feeling like it would be more suited to a non-horror thriller. Part of the reason is that the gore felt out of place and gratuitous. Technically the one main fault was the constant zoom of the camera. Less is more, and the constant movement served to lessen its overall effect. The location was the Mansfield Reformatory, in Mansfield Ohio. It is an impressive structure and, due to a lack of establishing shots, was mainly wasted. Again, the overall effort is recommendable, and I have really noly listed the problems. The story is worth seeing, and perhaps one day revisiting in another genre.Read full review
