The backlight display was easy to install, but I wouldn't recommend it for amateurs. Simple unscrew back of radio, remove connectors from circuit board, unscrew circuit board, (Be Careful of the display ribbon cable). remove original foam pad, install new pad, install backlight (Secure with clear tape), Install circuit board, reconnect wired connectors to circuit board, reattach back radio cover, install battery. It should light up just fine. Great product. good price. Thank you.

Be careful putting it in, wires are delicate that connect to backlight. As per YouTube video I made my own double sided tape to attach to back of foam. The original foam is tuff to remove, take your time, peel it slowly.

two pins were soldered together under the shrinking tube. I had to fix it. The symptom was the display of the transmitter is always on.
