The Essential Phone PH-1 is a lot of device for the money. Great and sturdy design, with up-to-date software updates (Got Android updates within couple of days from Google's release) and with Android Oreo super smooth performance-wise without any hiccups. Downsides: 1. Camera - It's good but if you're coming from a phone with a very good camera you will notice its performance is not consistent. 2. No AUX 3.5 jack - This means you're stuck with either using USB-C earphones/headphones or using an adapter. The box includes one of excellent quality, and you can now buy extra from Essential site. I tried 3rd party ones - most didn't work with only the following successfully working: Moshi USB-C Digital Audio Adapter with 24-bit/192kHz DAC and Class G amplifier, and the iLuv USB-C to Stereo 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter. 3. Audio in Video - I don't know if it's specifc to my unit, but the video recording seems to be void of noise cancelling which ends with less quality audio recording than what I'm used to have from my earlier phone (Lumia 950XL) Read full review

Battery lasts at least acwhole day of social media un 4G. This is because its android oreo update. Also Android oreo fixes well known errors it had previouly so thats why prices has dropped a little bit. Latest processor and GPU, ultra fast and smooth. Camera is really good. It is almost impossible to find a good tempered glass for this phone, curved edges are though to protect. This is a high end phone for little budget. I recommend it if you cant afford 500+ $ phones.

Very good smartphone with small form factor, stock Android experience, adequate display, and average battery life. 4 out of 5 stars.

With the price drop off this phone it's definitely one of the best options out there and can complete with a lot of flagship devices. Stock Android with frequent updates, solid cameras, 128gb onboard storage, quick and snappy. Not too big or small. Solid build quality. Good screen quality. Overall a solid device for around the same price you would pay for a budget phone. I got mine for $260. In comparison, the Huawei Mate SE good for $250. The phone got a bad rep when it came out due to the initial price and early issues work software. After several upgrade this is a solid device for a solid deal!

For such a small fortune, the device delivers great performance and battery life. Updates are pushed almost inmediately less than a month from Google's own Pixel devices. I just received the April security update on the 7th of April ..... That's FAAAAST
