Originally I purchased this album on vinyl as a teen back around 1970 having been a fan of his work with John Mayall, The Yardbirds and then Cream. I wasn't disappointed with his first solo effort and just about wore it out.I had looked for it many years later on CD but could never track it down in stores - thank God for ebay! Great early Clapton - After Midnight, Blues Power, I've told you for the last time and Don't know why are some personal favourites. The album also introduced me to Leon Russell and Delayney & Bonnie plus a number of session musicians who joined him on many future albums eg Derek & the Dominos. Worth a listen.
Exactly as described. Thank you!

Clapton teams with some old friends when writing these songs. The gospel influence of Bonnie Bramlett and the rock influence of Leon Russell is very noticable. Then Eric throws in his incredible guitar talents and another great album is born.
