I bought this printer because I was looking for a good low cost unit to use with an older refurbished IBM computer I use as a back up. This Epson Stylus NX127 fit my requirements. I am very impressed with its performance. One feature that I really like is the fact that when making copies you can choose color or black and white by simply pressing a button. On the negative side I find the ink to be a little expensive.
I bought this cause I wanted a new printer, and these weren't too expensive. The thing only lasted 2 weeks before needing a new black ink cartridge. I only printed a handful of things. Those cartridges are small to begin with, so i guess it makes sense. Also, it takes forever to start actually printing, almost to where you think something is wrong, then it finally prints. And yes, I knew what I was doing. I have an old dell that will print forever, but is a hassle to deal with. I am now going BACK to that printer. This thing was a huge piece of crap. If you dont mind buying ink...all the time, then this printer might be for you. Read the reviews on other sites like Amazon first. The ones here seem inaccurate. No point in even trying to resell something like this. I threw it away.
This printer is a good value for the money; however, I would like to be able to print using only the black cartridge. If you run out of any color and still have black ink, youre out of luck. Have to go get a refill. Other than that, I do like the printer.
Really enjoying this printer. Had Epsons in the past and got another brand when it came free with my computer. The paper sensor went bad after a year and it was cheaper to replace it than to fix it. Will stick with Epsons from now on. The Epson prints of course and makes fine copies. It will scan but haven't sent a photo to Facebook yet because of computer problems. Think I need new software. My needs are pretty simple, so it's fine with me that the printer is not wireless. In fact, I prefer it--discovered that wireless printers only work if you have a wireless account. (Duh, you say?)
This is one sweet printer, at frist glance i didn't think so, because. It was differt than my other Epsons abount putting ink in. However, once I got in in I realized it will be easier to cleann an maintain than any Epson I have ever had. I have had 10 Epson printers myself, and I have bought and sod & repaierd for others about another 10-15 Epson printers over the years. Thety are the only printers I use. I thought it was too light, but it prints we and quickli and now that I make jewelery I nee a good color printer. I am loving it. Robert Neal
