I have yet to assemble the engine this is going on. Magazine articles from the 90's said this manifold was marginal on a stock or mild 5.7. They thought it would do better on a 383. So, I am building a 383 cubic inch lt1 with AFR heads and a 230/236 degree cam. My only complaint about this intake is the price, at about $560 it is expensive for the probably 25 to 30 horses I will get from it . But, it is a street car so I need all the emission provisions. I am happy with my purchase, I just wish they were about $125 cheaper.

Got this for my 97 SS Camaro with the LT1. Love it. Although it does eliminate a vacuum line (if you delete the EGR valve, OptiSpark vent needs a tree vacuum valve) but always have liked the Edelbrock intakes. Great value and worth it if you do a cam, complements upgraded injectors and adjustable FPR.
