hearkening to elements of Echoes with soaring guitars and whimsical keyboards, Pink Floyd's final ode is an instrumental gift with a lovely song called Louder Than Words. as a longtime fan, I yearned for more of Gilmour's ethereal voice and some grit. But it's worth appreciating that much of this album is born from the unused material from their previous album, with embellishments. Nostalgia is both useful and cruel. it reminds us that Gilmour and Mason are in their late 60s, that keyboardist Wright is in another world and that Waters is long gone. Life is an endless river, they explain. that said, the depth of music and texture far surpasses much of today's vapid mindlessness that passes as music.

Old is New again.. For those who may have had this album in the past this is a nice remake of the instrumental album. Nice quality and will definitely bring you back to the nostalgic time of your youth..

This is great if you always want more Floyd (and I do), but it's not exactly a complete work. No budding Floyd fan should start here, they should only arrive here after having absorbed the rest of the catalog.
