The thing you have to know about this is it does two things and on top of that it takes those two things and changes those to more things. With that being said, this pedal can be discouraging at first because it takes a while to figure out how to work it to get what you want out of it. The chorus stand alone is very nice and the same as a small clone. Back the rate off below 10 o clock and you get into no LFO chorus and some crazy bell type screeching or Glimour "Brain Damage" The Flanger is nice, but not subtle on the higher depth settings. if you put the rate low, the flanger takes over on high depth settings. This is where it takes a while to figure out the settings that work together (Rate/depth). It can be a pain, but one you figure it out, it's beautiful. Once again, backing it down to below 10 o clock, you get some crazy, eerie sounds, or some accent to your playing that doesn't sound like "barracuda". Together, you can get "Angel" by hendrix. It's a nice textural setting.Read full review
This is a very fun pedal. I was looking for something to give my clean sound a little sparkle. Plus I didn't have a chorus or a flanger, so why not get 2 in 1? This is a great combination of the 2 effects, but there are better chorus pedals out there. The chorus depth does not go very deep, you won't get a "Nirvana" chorus with it. But the flange is great. You can even stop the flange rate and use the rate knob as a tone control, or a very slow flange. You can get some very trippy sounds. Add a delay pedal and reverb and you can make some awesome soundscapes. There is a bit of a volume drop when I click it on, but that is to be expected with most chorus effects that I've used. I have not tried the stereo outputs yet but I'm looking forward to it. The light on it changes color with the flange depth (a very cool addition). It goes between Green, red, and yellow. It helps you time the effect to the rhythm, if you need to do that. This also works great with all of my other pedals. I have this close to the end of my pedal train. I run my boss distortions, overdrives, B.A.T. Pharaoh Fuzz, B.A.T. Fnord, and E.H. Worm in front of it. It runs off of the same 9v daisy chain power and it all sounds great. I recommend this pedal to anyone.Read full review
I had one of these that I purchased in 1974. Unfortunately, I went acoustic and sold all my solid body items. I am playing a Joe Perry Boneyard Les Paul thru a vintage '73 Traynor amp. I have 9 pedals on my board and find that the Boss Compressor coupled with the chorus mode on the Electric Mistress gives me a sound that I love. Glad to have the Electric Mistress back. I also have replaced my Small Stone and love it too.

This is an awesome pedal! It has great quality sound (always expected and delivered from EHX) and perfect, easy controls. The filter matrix mode is very cool and unique; something I will personally use frequently in my analog electronica band. This pedal couldn't be more pleasing!
Great flanger pedal, extremely sturdy. I have no experienced the full capabilities of this flanger, and I've owned it for quite some time. It's a fun product to combine with other pedals, such as a wah, reverb, delay, and many other effects. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is in need of a flanger pedal, and wants something extremely durable and affordable. I have no complaints with this pedal.
