I bought this because it was $30 more than renting a similar tool for 24 hours. It cuts concrete easily, and feels sturdy. Make sure you use a good extension cord on a 20 amp circuit and use a fan to blow dust out of the way as it makes a huge cloud. The only drawback to a dry saw is that it's too messy for indoor use like to install basement plumbing or something. But this is plenty of saw for an average homeowner doing outdoor work. The blade alone is a $75 part at a home supply store and it's included with the saw. If you need to go deeper than 4" you'll need to go in steps. I like it. Used it to even up new concrete I poured, and to remove a 8" deep section of concrete porch. No regrets buying it as it paid for itself in one job.

Good value - works well - It would be nice if it cut deeper than 4" but I was able to work around that problem. Rental company wanted $135 a day plus blade ware. I used my cutter for 4 days and it cost only $245.

This saw cuts concrete quickly, and is easy to use, you do need 20 amp, 120 volt outlet. The saw has less power than the gas saws, but I like the fact that there is no fuel or fumes to mess with, and never need to pull start or worry about fumes from exhaust. I can cut up to 3.5 inches without putting much pressure on the saw. This saw is a good way to cut concrete!
