This bulb is not safe for use due to several design flaws. - It uses a capacitor dropper, meaning that the LEDs are referenced to mains and pose a shock hazard. - The construction of the bulb is loose and easily comes apart, a further shock hazard. - The dropper capacitor (820nF) used results in the LEDs being overdriven and will result in a very short bulb life. The LEDs are rated for 4.8W, but the specifications say 8W, and in actuality the bulb runs closer to 15W. Its only redeeming quality is that it's good for the components to use in other projects and it's cheap.
