This T-28 1.2m is the latest and greatest from Horizon Hobby and it is a well-thought-out plane! It has everything you are looking for in a scale Navy warbird. I love the fact it has retractable gear and flaps. It was very easy to set up using my DX-6, and it flies great on the stock motor (size 15 e-flite) and stock LIPO (e-flite 2200 mAh). It was very easy to fly and even easier to land using the flaps (even though they probably aren't needed). It just looks so cool in the air, especially with the gear up and making a slow pass over the runway! I would not recommend this plane for a beginner's first plane, since it requires at least a 6-channel radio and some pre-learned flying skills. But it will make a very nice 2nd plane after learning all the basic flying skills from a good trainer aircraft like the Apprentice s-15. Overall, the plane is well built and has very scale-like in-flight qualities. For the eBay price and free shipping, it's a great deal!Read full review

After flying the E-flite Apprentice S 15e for several months, I decided I wanted to move up to a little faster more challenging plan. I was told the E-flite T-28 1.2m would be a good plane to go to. I found the T-28 to fly much faster than the Apprentice and to be much more responsive. I had to trim the ailerons and elevator but it flies really well. I have flown it many times now and it is helping me to develop skills to be a better pilot. I did have problems with the nose gear and I replaced the collar linkage with a clevis pin. Since then I have had no more problems. I believe the T-28 is an excellent low wing warbird to start with after using trainer aircraft.

If you ever owned a Parkzone T-28 (which was a great plane), the Eflite 1.2m has all upgrades you wish the Parkzone version had. Better foam, more durable horizontal stabilizer, flaps, retracts, more power. Handles great. Probably not the best first plane for a newbie but a nice flyer that you won't get tired of flying..

It is everything you could expect from a plane in this price range. It is fast and responds to the controls with reliability. Of course like all planes in this price range you would like a stronger landing gear gut it you pay attention to your landing this work fine.

I finally got to fly my T 28 Trojan today. I wanted an experienced flyer to do the trimming on the plane before I actually took the controls. I am a newbie having only flown for about a month. This plane handles like a dream.
