I purchased this to raise and lower about 250lbs of corn in a game feeder. Raising the load can be done by about any wench but lowering it can be a problem. This device allows you to do both with ease and safety. You can just reverse the cranking direction and lower the load to any level and it will hold right there. Now I can lower the container to a level that is easy to load without any support below. This is one really well made and well designed product made in USA. Great job. I can see now that I could have ordered the lighter one of my load but this one is really rugged.
