I love my Sierra 735c. It was my first Dobyn’s rod and won’t be my last. It’s well-balanced and light. It feels great in my hands, and I love the cork split grips. The tip is softer than I thought I’d like in a frog but the backbone is nice. The taper is perfect, and I rarely use that word. The tip is soft enough to let the fish get the frog situated in the fish’s mouth. The backbone kicks in just at the right time for the hook set. No exaggeration here my hookup ratio for fishing frogs doubled as soon as I started using this rod.

I've been buying all the highest end rods for the last 25 years but with 2 boys in college, I've had to tone down the mega expensive rod n reel purchases. I have purchased both the Sierra and Champion line of Dobyns rods and have bought my boys several Fury series rods. The Sierra 735C I purchased is one of the finest Mag heavy rods I've thrown. It may not have the sensitivity of GLX & NRX rods but it's amazing balance, phenomenal casting accuracy and top of the line build quality has taught me that you just don't have to spend $450-$650 to get a rod that feels amazing to use. It simply has that quality that makes it a joy to pick up
