Just like the real thing ;)

This is obviously a (dirt cheap) clone of the Digispark gadget, so my review can be considered a review of the original item as well. First of all I love the microUSB connector (MUCH more convenient than the full-size USB used on the first model) and size-wise it's REALLY small (so it can be used in projects that require items even smaller than the Arduino Nano board for instance). However what really makes me dislike this board (hence the 4-star rating) is the lack of serial connectivity/communication with the device (although there's purportedly some way to communicate with it via USB, I haven't figured it out yet). Thus I'll prefer my Arduino boards over this one in almost all the projects (at least in the first prototype phase). Pros: - microUSB connectivity - universal (analog+digital+PWM+i2c+SPI) pins - can support a wide range of voltage (5/7-35V) - programmable LED - really small Cons: - no serial communication - only 6 pins can be used at a time (for both input and output) - no tin coating on the holes nor the (included) pin headers (they need a generous coating of rosin before any tin will stick to them)

Nice looking design, but very poor sound.

You get what you pay for. Pros: - Nice looking design. - Light weight - On and Off Switch Button Cons: -Poor sound quality, volume to be specific -Cable Female Plug Breaks easily. -Microphone Head/Basket is all plastic.

  • Awesome tiny badUSB

I found this product on YouTube being used as a badUSB, or Rubber Ducky. It certainly does that, and it's pretty good at it too. With some YouTube tutorials, I programmed it fairly quickly and easily to log me into my work computer automatically. I'm sure if you wanted to, you could do something far more... "ambitious" with it, but I just wanted a badUSB on hand, and it does what it's meant to pretty well. I'm sure with some soldering and DIY, you could extend its functionality, and maybe give it the ability to store multiple scripts, but for now, it works well. Would recommend to anyone wanting a Rubber Ducky but doesn't want to spend a lot.

  • Very nice idea with just a couple disadvantage

The product works as expected. HOWEVER, if you have a mac (and some others), it's very likely that you'll think the board doesn't work. The reason for this is that the contacts are not long enough to be read by the computer, so you *will need* to by an USB extension cord to use it on most recent macs. Since this and the others digispark kickstarter all have the added problem of having to disconnect and connect them on each time you want to program them, you should probably be using an extension cable anyway, not to wear out your USB contacts.

  • Handy little mc

USB is very convenient, also allows a power bank as supply. A little tricky to get on a breadboard, watch the orientation of the pins. This model is a clone, but that has not caused any problems.

  • s'allright.

It is small, and only has a few pins, but if you only need a few pins, it has a small foot print, and is relatively easy to program once you figure out how. Pointing to the documents in the article would be helpful. Just google "Connecting and Programming Your Digispark" for instructions. You will need custom libraries from digispark for just about anything.

  • Works as expected

Works fine, but data pins are short which means I need to use extension cable with my MacBook Pro otherwise data doesn't make contact

  • Really good product for good price

Very compact, easy to use. The installation process is a little bit more complicated but there are YouTube videos.

  • The description is not accurate.

The description says "Durable zinc alloy metal construction, long time using", but the housing of the mic is just cheap plastic.
