I started with a full tank of 87 octane gas (36 gallons). Prior to the tune miles to empty said 476 miles (my average for a full tank after 4K miles) and I was getting 13.9 mpg. 90% city driving. After tune miles to empty said 614 miles and I got between 14.9-16.9 mpg, settling at 15.2 mpg after 400 miles driven (200 mile highway trip). In the 2 weeks since the tune I have noticed that the miles to empty decrease at a faster rate than the odometer miles driven. Not a 1:1 ratio. Not sure why, but could be due to drop in mpg from 16.9 down to 15.9 now at 15.2? I expected to get about 614 miles on this full tank but my guesstimate is that I will get closer to 550 or so when it is all said and done. An improvement for sure, but definately short of the initial readout. This may become more consistent after a few more miles and fill ups? Throttle response is greatly improved (much less turbo lag when mash the gas pedal) and the truck feels stronger. This makes the truck more predictable vs the original wait a second then blast off response when you have to gas it. Next up is a test of the 87 Performance tune and 91 Performance tune (more HP and Torque than 87 tunes). So far I like what I see. Looking forward to my next tank of gas statistics. If the good results continue I will likely buy the Explorer Sport tune package for my wife's SUV.Read full review

Bought for an 02 Mustang, and I was kind of hoping for a little more customization on it. For example the 91 octane tune does a bunch of stuff presumably but it also dorks around with the transmission, making shifts much too violent. I guess they "overdo it" so that customers won't complain that it doesn't do anything, but that's bullsh# if you ask me because I don't want to trash my transmission or bark tires I just want a little optimization. If the tuner would ask a few questions like "do you want us to f## up your transmission? Y/N" or "How firm do you want your shifts? 1-2-3-4-5" or something like that, would be a lot more useful. Even if they had a choice between "I want to be a boy racer" vs. "I want a refined driving experience" that would be helpful. The only option for changing that is to take the car to an authorized CMR tuner which is cool, I guess but it's another $400-500+ to have a shop do their thing, which makes this an awfully huge investment. I don't recommend this tuner and will be removing the tune, unmarrying the device, and re selling it to somebody else who maybe wants their car to drive like cr@p.Read full review

This is an excellent product. It made my 2007 Lincoln Town Car feel more like a sports vehicle. Additional power and fuel economy are much appreciated. As for value; it seems a bit over-priced. It is, in fact, a programing tool and not a computer in itself. I know that it takes money to develop a product but to recoup it at this rate seems a bit unfair, It seems to me that more drivers will want to purchase the product at a lower price and you'll sell more units and increase your profitability.

Allows you to fine tune your performance and possibly even improve MPGs. For heavily modified engines, you will need custom tuning and use this to load the custom tune. Con: may disable some emission monitors or keep some from completing. So passing emission testing could require restoring vehicle to stock. Support from Diablosport is pretty good if needed. Ps: this tuner works on a lot more Ford cars and trucks than just what is stated here.
