Well written. I would have liked it even better if the ship had stayed into the Pacific War, burt it works well as a sci fi fantasy. My only picky rooney is that the battlecruiser Amagi (if it was ever completed, destroyed by earthquake while being converted to an Aircraft carrier) was designed to carry 16 inch guns, not 10 inch, but i suppose that would be too much for the poor ole Walker to sustain hits from. Very well thought out and detailed.

Was absorbed within the story environment from the beginning. The premise was a bit of a stretch but as the story gathered momentum it became totally believability. I found the story totally fascinating and actually gripping as I became involved with all of the well developed characters. Read it, then read the next one, I am at volume 3 and can't wait for the next. Destroyermen rock!!!
