I was skeptical as most to purchase a new avr for home theater system I've used Harmon kardon for over a decade before that Yamaha and Sony untill recently when I bought this receiver and OMG America and fellow sound pyros like myself this receiver is the Bugatti of home audio, it handles all highs lows 2ohm 4ohm speakers, initwl setup is tough and took about 2 hours of playing with it to finally have 7.1 full theatre surround sound. I recommend this receiver especially at the price it's being sold it is a steal, I also recommend using Monster 16-18 gauge speaker wire and monster gold tip subwoofer cables as the quality of sound is 5 star superb. DENON I GIVE YOU 2 THUMBS UP 5 STARS ON This ONE YOU JUST EARNED A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE, WITH THAT SAID DENON YOU NEED TO UPDATE THE REMOTE CONTROL THIS IS TO MODERN AND CONFUSINGRead full review

The Denon 2309ci is the best of the best I got two of them and they sound like or better than a new one I got one in my living room with a 7.1 and it sounds like a new one I want to say thanks denon you number one in my book. The Denon receiver is so awesome I told my friend and he brought one and he couldn't believe how clear and loud it was plenty high definition Blu-ray on Bad Boys two thanks Denon.!

This is an awesome receiver. I have a mix of 4 and 8 ohm speakers. I did a lot of research before I bought the Denon because most manufacturers tell you their product can't handle the low ohms. Not Denon, they said their receiver would handle it, and it did. I tried the auto setup using the mic. It did not do the job for me. Once I set it up using manual set up it sounded the great.
Great buy. It's really completing our Home Entertainment System

The system is very difficult to set up and the remote sucks. The sound however is excellent and linked very well with my Panasonic's TV Viera Link so was able to use my Panasonic's remote to control basic Denon's receiver function
