Either many of the buttons on the receiver don't work or else you need to have the remote - not sure which. Sound quality is okay. Receiver has a lot of inputs on the back which is nice.

This is a top of the line receiver that will work perfect in any medium to high end home theatre. Any home theatre buff is always looking for the best products to add into the mix so the sound and video creates the most incredible experience in our little part of the world. This receiver does the job. I have always been a Yamaha guy. I think the sound is powerful and the recreation has always been great without moving into companies such as lexicon, etc... Denon makes a great product that has showed me how superior to Yamaha it really is. The only negative I can give on this receiver is the on screen display and setup. On this model it is a bit fussy and some of the sections do not actually even do anything. A bit strange but if you understand that going in, there is no way to rate this thing anywhere short of the top.Read full review
That's a lot of bang for your buck it really is but you never know how important the remote control is and the owner's manual until we have about 1000 knobs in the back of your receiver staring at you. They get obsolete so fast just like a computer that it's hard to keep up with them but if you just want a solid receiver then you will never find a better deal, I mean a Devon with four HDMI hookups for under $100? That is incredible
