I'd been wanting to try this brush for a while ever since I started my natural curly hair journey and it 100% lives up to the hype. It works exactly as I hoped and had seen in demos from other curly hair girls. It really helps define my curls and makes styling my hair a lot more effective. I have combo 3a/3b hair that has some looser 2b/2c waves mixed in and this brush helps to not only define all the curl types I have going on but makes them look a lot more uniform. It also gives great volume, especially when used in conjunction with styling products. My routine so far is applying my product(s) then sectioning off my hair and brushing through smaller sections one at a time (outward away from my scalp for volume and turning the brush under as I go down) then I scrunch and immediately I see the curl definition. I would not recommend this brush for simply detangling as I think it's too aggressive and could lead to hair being ripped out, but for styling it works wonders. Also, the price was right as I've seen this brush being sold elsewhere for twice the money (which I believe is the original listing price, around $20 so this is a good deal). So overall, if you're on the fence about buying it and you come across this review, I highly recommend getting it and if you do I hope your curls have as positive an experience as mine have had.Read full review

Denman hair brushes are known for their quality and durability -- they last a long time! I had mine for 20 years and it finally blew out one day, the rubber brush base couldn't take one more blow dryer blast. So, I replaced the brush with the same model number. Sorry to say, that the new model just isn't the same quality. The brush bristles don't "grab" onto the hair, they just slide right through. I get it, things change over the years -- different materials, technology, production systems blah, blah, blah...but it's just not the same Denman brush that once was.

Very good brush. It has flexible bristles, and they don't have those little ball things on the ends. I hate the little balls because they fall off and get caught in my hair. It really glides through and doesn't pull, no wonder it has been the same for so long. Why mess with a good thing? I would definitely recommend this to a friend if they have straight or wavy hair. I haven't tested this on curly or kinky hair, so I can't tell you how well it would work on that hair type. I hope this review helps someone.

This brush is great for my grandbaby's curly hair. Will smooth out curls, and knots come out without a lot of pulling. Before we had this brush, it was an awful time. She cried nearly everytime we brushed her hair. With this brush, she is actually smiling, and saying this is so much better than before. I will recommend this brush for curly hair. We either use the brush with a hair detangler, or while her hair is wet from washing it. Wish I would have found it before.

This is a great brush, comfortable to use, properly weighted and long lasting. Mine only broke because it ended up in the washing machine and got tightly twisted in a towel, cracking the handle. The handle finally gave up the ghost 3 years later, the brush was about 10 years old. The new one is great, well worth the slightly higher cost over cheaper convenience store models.
