We've been using these printers for years with no problems, we have 6. They print great and they have auto duplex, if you choose to use it. Duplexing is an option you select when you print from your computer. I've rarely (almost never) had a paper jam. The toner cartridges are large and last a long time - up to 6,000 pages. The toner cartridge is a combination toner and drum, so when you replace the toner cartridge you are replacing all of the printing works in the machine so prints always look rich and dark. The toner cartridges are a little pricey if you buy genuine Dell, but Dell seem to work best for us and with 6,000 pages the cost isn't that much on an annual basis. They copy, scan and fax, although we don't use the fax function since we don't have fax lines anymore. The automatic document feeder works well for both copies and scans (and presumably faxing, if we did faxes). The software disc that came new with the Dell 2335dn included PaperPort software. If you download the drivers from Dell you won't get PaperPort, so you will need to get your preferred scanning software elsewhere. The Dell 2335dn is not a wireless printer, but you can print wirelessly if you have your printer hard wired to your wireless network. When you have the printer wired to the network and installed as a wireless printer option, it will be one of the printers you can select as a printer on your computer. Howerver, to scan to your computer it will need to be hooked up to your computer via a USB cable. The 2335dn has a USB connection on its' front panel so you can scan to a USB flash drive and you can also scan to email. The 2335dn is a big, heavy, solidly built machine. After you get it setup you won't want to move it around and some may have difficulty in lifting it at all. However, given how well this machine is built, it should give you many years of trouble-free service.Read full review

Purchasing the Dell 2335MFP was not our first experience with this model. In fact, we have bought the same model two times before. Our primary reason for buying the 2335 again was because we use remanufactured cartridges instead of the factory Dell cartridge (Heads Up: Using a remanufactured cartridge does NOT void your warranty, as we were told by “Bob” the tech advisor from India.) The newer Dell printer that is comparable has not been on the market long enough for a remanufactured cartridge market to develop. Our toner supplier, 1Ink (also an eBay Seller) has provided a consistently reliable product. Now about the printer: My wife and I operate a home-based mobile notary business that specializes in mortgage documents. Last year, we serviced about 1,200 loans, with an average file size of 250 pages. Do the math – that’s a lot of paper and toner. The 2335 has proven to be a tireless workhorse with few problems. It has been our experience that ALL higher volume, small business printers will, from time to time, jam, feed multiple pages, etc. We have found most of these problems to be related to paper quality, clean edge cut and paper weight; not the printer. If you consistently print both letter and legal size pages, Dell has an add-on legal page module that will raise the height of your machine about 3”. Or, you can adjust the factory tray to your paper size. Overall we have been very satisfied with this product.Read full review
Its a solid printer for my real estate company. Easy to set up and teach the employees to use. Each of the multi use functions easy to use and set up network wise. Living the blue tooth function too, able to print from my phone
I purchased this Dell 2335dn as a replacement for my ageing Dell 2335dn (same model) which has lasted over 5 years of medium to heavy home office use. The significant feature is the lack of a toner drum. On printers which have a drum, you have to replace the drum when it fills with excess toner, and the cost of a new drum is almost the cost of a new printer. All the new Dell multi-function printers have a drum. With the Dell 2335dn, the toner cartridges have a mini drum built into them.

Easy setup, both USB and Network. The paperport setup was very easy as well. Fax setup was quick and easy. Fast printing, quick scans with excellent quality. Ability to scan to several formats. Great toner life, and toner is cheap on Amazon.com. This is the best MFP I have owned.
