works great, inexpensive add in card. Gigabit Ethernet is pretty much standard these days but it's great for upgrading older system of if you need more networking ports. Testing it on a older Core 2 system that had GBE onboard it actually out preformed the onboard. by about 15-20% The only negative I can think of is the broadcom chip does get pretty warm, Im sure it's fine the way it is but I ordered some small heatsinks im going to attach one to it to help keep it cool / longevity. The one I received was very nicely packaged. Plan to buy more as it's always good to have a few around when you need them.

Great of upgrading old systems that don't have gigabit Ethernet onboard. The system I tested it in when it arrived had onboard GBE though This card actually outperformed the onboard. by about 80mbps constantly. The only thing to watch out for is the chip does get pretty hot when in sustained use. It's probably fine, but im OCD and will be attaching a small heatsink to help it out. (deducted 1 star) other than that.. great card for cheap.
