It's a 16x2 display, no matter where you get these or the cost you pay for them they will be the same so for the cost they are selling them at it is a great deal if you need them shipped within north america fast. It also came with some jumper wires as a free gift and those are always welcome! A couple of 10k small pots would have been probably a better addition but i was not expecting anything so ill take it.

I have used a couple of these little displays with an Arduino. They power up with the Arduino 5v output. They take 6 data lines. If data lines are scarce you can get a serial version. They are simple to use with the Arduino since example sketches are readily available.

These displays are an almost exact match for the QRP-Labs displays. The display is not exactly square with the mount, but it is not off enough to cause a significant misalignment with the cases from QRP-Labs via Bamatech for their QCX transceiver kits. So far, all displays function properly and have replaced the originals on my equipment.

It worked fine for me with a Raspberry Pi. You should use a resistor with the backlight to be safe tho. And you have to solder the pins, but they are included.
