I am so happy I won this auction, because I was in serious Creative Zen V Plus withdrawal! I killed the one I've used daily for several years (it got very wet), and when I started shopping to find something new that matches its quality, I couldn't find it. (I am listening to my Zune 120GB right now; it's... nice... but not NEARLY as good as the little 4 GB Zen.) What I love about the Creative Zen V Plus that you can't get from iPod, Zune, etc: 1. Tiny size -- size of a matchbox, smaller than an iPod Nano (but a little thicker) 2. "necklace" lanyard -- makes it easy to wear around my neck, which is great when exercising, doing yardwork or housecleaning. 3. Sleep timer -- I LOVE THIS FEATURE and I haven't found it on another similar device. I use it multiple ways. 4. RECORDER -- great mic for such a cheap little device. I'ts saved my butt repeatedly, because I have just tucked it inside my shirt and let it run. It's been FABULOUS in sticky situations. 5. Windows Media -- easy, easy software to load media 6. Bookmark function -- I listen to tons of audiobooks, and it's EASY to set bookmarks. There's more, but those are the cool things. Plus, it's tough -- before it drowned, it had been dropped repeatedly, overheated, squished... kept on ticking. If you're looking for an inexpensive, fun workhorse MP3 player and you are OK with buying used, check the Creative Zen V Plus. It ROCKS!Read full review
Creative for me makes very reliable mp3 players. I am particularly fond of the Zen Stone and Zen Stone Plus models, as I mostly use all of my mp3 players for audio books. My only regret with Creative is that they abandoned the Windows Explorer approach of copying the files onto directories of your choosing ("AAA", "BBB", "CCC"), so that the audio books would play in succession to the alphabetical order of the directories you choose. I guess with the advent of the graphical interfaces, you are pretty much restricted to setting up play lists in Centrale. So, with the newer models, such as the Zen V, you have to create a sub directory under you "My Music" folder in your C drive and copy what you ripped (I use Audio Grabber). All in all, I am satisfied with this device.
Moved my books on cd (mp3 files) to it and now I enjoy being able to move around the house and yard being thoroughly entertained.

Product was as advertised-display is difficult to see but that was a drawback of this model. Price was good

The last of the Creative's with features like line in recording, good mic recording, EAX digital signal processing and compact size. I have 2 and very happy with them. Can't be beat for functionality and size.
