I am very interested in holistic, homeopathic, natural, and herbal cures as well as old home remedies. In my opinion, this book was a waste of money! It in no way came close to being what I would consider to be a home remedy book. It constantly stated to take your cat to the vet for everything from having fleas to spraying---"take your cat to the vet." It recommended the vet using flea medication on a cat--which is dangerous, in my opinion. It also recommended "bombing" your house if you get fleas in your home. This is also dangerous and usually futile because fleas are developing a resistance to the commercial products. (I have used natural ingredients in the past and have had great success.) I thought it would be nice to have a book about natural, home remedies for cats to add to my collection of home remedy books. This book is not what I was expecting and it is a disappointment to say the least. I would not recommend it to anyone. I think it is common sense to know when your cat appears seriously ill; there are times when you know you need a Vet! But I'm sure there are instances when some type of home remedy would save you the time and expense of a trip to the Vet. This book falls short of giving really useful home remedies!Read full review
