Have all of his books and I love this one too because of the Family history. I use his books a lot and always Hoppin Johns on New Years Day - each year! - Family and Friends look forward to this dinner. I've use his Steak Seasoning since the 1980's for ALL of my steaks. When in New Orleans, I always eat at least twice in his restaurant. Simple foods with his magic of seasonings and Southern cooking! My favorite Chef since BEFORE Ronald Reagan used him in Williamsburg, VA - and introduced him to the World!
