I enjoy the amplified version bible but I appreciate having this parallel study bible so I can see how each verse is written in each translation with KJV version as a primary recommended source to compare to due to it’s greater accuracy (although KJV may have its errors too). That being said, as a person who is newer to reading and studying the Bible, I gain greater understanding by reading the easier to read translations such as the amplified and allows me to become more familiar with God’s words so that I can then read the KJV and have much better understanding and clarity after studying the easier to read translations first. A great way to get newer “baby” Christians comfortable and familiar with reading God’s word while allowing parallel study with KJV to gain a more accurate and deeper understanding. A great gift too! The book is however big and heavy. I like that though. It’s like a thick textbook. Hardcover is nice a durable. A great study tool for all! I bought one in like new condition on eBay for approximately $20 with free shipping and it was a great deal. I always check ebay for like new book deals.Read full review

Everyone should have access to this book. It ties together the words of your elders and translations using the 'current' English meanings of the day. Thr KJV alongside the Amplified are exquisitely pure. I LOVE it. It is scholarly beauty in its BEST form!
