I have used this fine product since about 1994-5 . The universal clip draw or the 1911 grip clip draw were the only available models at that time . Even though I was carrying 1911s I didn't want the under the grip style . The universal style has never failed me . I used to grind away some of the base mount to fit the base over the letters and a bit over the right side bump of the slide release . I have cut wood with my chainsaw for hours with no slippage or tumbles . Ridden my motorcycle at extreme speeds with no failures . Upstate NY doesn't get too hot but it does get colder than minus 20F . No problems . Sweat , wet , mud , heat , whatever . Clip draw works . Like I wrote earlier , over the letters to mount for a 1911 . I carried a beautiful cop trade-in model 19-3 combat snub nose , again over the letters and screws . It digs in a bit but is comfortable cross draw on my left flank . The great thing about the clip draw is you get some stiction and you can run , walk , sit and drive with comfort . I have only recently mounted the clip draw on the slide of my Beretta 96 DA/worked to SA as well and am happy with it . As on my Walther P99 which is DA/SA from the factory and my Model 19 I have found that mounting the clip draw so the back of the trigger is just below the top of my pants is a good way to go . I used the same clip draw for years and they come with extra tape and screws . Your gun is out of sight . You can feel it like one can not with a holster , if I had my dream sport pistol , the Olympic Arms K23 40cal with the 6 1/2" barrel I would cut away part of the cheek piece and mount a clip draw on that and hang it outside my shirt or jacket or hang it off my belt . The clip draw is a fantastic product built for Americans that like to carry their guns . The possibilities are almost limitless and they are reasonably priced . Thank you for reading my review . Try a clip draw . They are the best !Read full review

The double-sided tape is a better option than the model that requires replacing the back plate on the slide. On the larger Glock models, replacing the back plate of the slide works well. But, on smaller pistols, the clip on the replaced plate puts the gun so far down inside the waistband, drawing the weapon becomes unreliable. The double sided tape allows infinite adjustment as to the depth the gun will ride inside your pants. Something for the manufacturer to think about.

I bought the clip draw approx. 8yrs ago. the clip finally broke from thousands of uses over the 8 years . I tried to remove the screws to just replace the clip part . the screws were set and I could not remove them . meaning they never came loose over the 8 yrs. I also had to pry off the attachment bar from the 2 way tape. Again it was solid after 8years of use. The clip draw is a quality product and holds up to very heavy dailey use . I would definitely recommend this product to any gun carrier.

This item is more than I expected. It is attached very easily with the two sided adhesive and it stays where you put it. I carry my pistol everyday, all day and it has stayed in place comfortably with out fail. It works flawlessly inside the waist band or in the pocket. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a more concealed weapon. Terry G. Florida
