This is my secret to a long-lasting fresh Christmas tree. I have been using it for years. Every year we cut a fresh tree and put it up the day after Thanksgiving. It is elaborately decorated, and usually stays up until at least the 15th of January. This year I took it down on the 25th of January--that is two full months. Very few needles dropped off, and I think it might have lasted another week, it was still so fresh. The tree was still vigorously drinking about 3/4 gallon of water per day. I mix full strength a gallon at a time in a plastic milk jug (four packs to a gallon) for the first week or so, then switch to two packs per gallon for the remainder of the time the tree is up. I wouldn't think of putting a tree up without it. And, oh yes, it is handy to have for any cut flowers we have in the house during the rest of the year! I highly recommend this product!Read full review
