Captain Novolin is going to teach us how to eat right and take our insulin. That's right, this game teaches diabetic kids the basics on how to deal with diabetes. Well it's a side scroller and you fight bad sugary foods like dough nuts, candy, soda, etc. The controls are sloppy and the game play doesn't make me want to eagerly keep playing. Now, I'm video game collector (also a fan of really bad games) so I had to check this game out. Well as it turns out there were a handful of these "health conscious" video games developed by Raya Systems. I read that these games were either rented or sold at Hospitals and health centers, I don't think these games were for sale in any game store.
As a collector, this is a must have title in collecting one of four raya systems games with the elusive Bronkie the Bronchiasaurus (most expensive title of the four) as they are part of a health educational games. As a playable game than no this game is not fun and not worth your time/ money.

Captain Novolin is a side-scrolling platformer for the SNES designed to teach it's audience about type 1 diabetes. Aside from that, it's a mediocre game with mediocre graphics and gameplay. Fun if you like to spend 15 minutes of your time playing something on the SNES other than Mario or Donkey Kong.
