It works fine. Makes a lot of noise, but prints. The ink cartridge provided was out of ink way too soon. Also it was a headache to "connect" my phone to the printer. I had to get a guru friend of mine to do it and it took him over 30 minutes. He said it should not be that hard. It worked well for a while, then the printer locked and asked me for a password in order to interface with my phone. I never had one. It's now back at the guru's. I bought the printer to use with my smartphone and was told it would work fine....don't know why I'm having such a problem, but it's discouraging.

I am VERY disappointed in my Canon Printer, this is my second Canon Printer in a row, and I will NEVER purchase another canon product! even though my printer prints very well, it consumes way too much ink! I only printed about 20-30 pages and the ink runs empty! I bought one printer brand new fot $18.00 and another for $25.00, and the refill ink costs more than a brand new printer! this is clearly crooked as hell and is stealing money from my pocket! I tried on my first printer a refill kit, and the printer cartridge has a chip that shuts down the printer if refilled! this is crooked forcing consumers to buy proprietary cartridges that only print around 20 pages! I run a very small business making pin backed buttons, and the ink cost is killing me! sometimes it is CHEAPER to buy a brand new printer, than to buy refill ink! No wonder our planet is being ruined! perfectly good printers end up in a landfill, instead of being used, because a new printer is cheaper than the damn ink! from this point on, I vow to BOYCOTT ALL Canon Products!Read full review

I bought this printer because it is light and small. I am still in college, it would be perfect to put in a small space like my dorm and be packed and moved around since we do change room on yearly basis. Then the problem comes: as a college student, there’s absolutely no need for me to print colored stuff. So I just bought a black cartridge and hope it will work, and it doesn’t. Without all cartridges properly installed, Canon wouldn’t allow you to continue the next step for step up. So I searched online for hours to find out that blinding light’s meaning because it doesn’t come with a manual booklet. As I looked online, people on the forums said that the printer is so “clever” that it will recognize if you are trying to fool it with an empty cartridge. As the result, if the cartridge is empty or dry-out, or completely not installed, you won’t be able to use all functions (printing, coping, even scanning). I used to have an HP printer and it works as I expected. It prints even with only one cartridge is installed, either colored or black. This clearly is the strategy that Canon wants you to keep buying its cartridge. Don’t buy this printer, because two normal size cartridges (one black and one color) costs more than this printer. Again, don’t buy this printer. As a result of understanding how all these work, I swear I won’t buy ANY Canon products ever in the future. Because according to Canon’s logic, their printer pissed me off, so I should hate all of their products!!Read full review

The copy/scan/print is very slow. Can't get the wifi to function properly. The ink is expensive and that is where they get you. In the future I will start my research with the ink then find a printer that uses the ink that will provide the value I need.

What a great product at a great price. Couldn't have asked for more. Easy to set up, and connect to my tablet. Print quality is very good on documents and better than expected with pictures. I highly recommend the Canon Pixma MG3022, especially for the budget conscious. Mine was less than $20.00 USD, and in my opinion, much better than copiers I've paid quite a bit more for. A+++++ All The Way!!!
