I bought these binoculars for the main reason of having the features of being water and fog proof. When comparing the Bushnell Legend Ultra HD with other binoculars like the Leupold BX4, McKinley HD I found little difference in the clarity and view. To add to the features I really like the case that comes with the binoculars. It has a Velcro support on each inside section to prevent the binoculars from ever falling out when you open the zipper. This is a very intelligent design. For the money you can't ask for more. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the serial number is only found on the inside lid of the shipping box instead of being on the binocular frame. I mentioned it to customer service and suggested for them to add it on to the frame in the future. I decided to scribe the serial number myself. I put it on the metal rim just below the right eye piece. I don't think it will take away from the value and at least I have something to identify my binoculars if they were ever stolen. Overall, I love the the way they feel and look and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality at a reasonable price.Read full review
I was looking for a pair of good value for money binoculars after being unhappy with several sets of cheaper ones. The Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 10x42 have proved to be an excellent buy. They are a solid build, but reasonably compact pair of binoculars. The clarity is excellent, easy to use and hold. Dusk one night I was looking into a paddock about 500-600 mtre away and could see no animals with the naked eye, then looking through the bushnells I counted 14 kangaroos which were easy to see and very clear. Good light gathering. I have used Tasco, Nikon & Pentax and have looked through Lieca binoculars and I have found the Bushnalls to be equal to other brands that cost twice as much. I highly recommend them. They come with a solid case, strap and a harness which most other brands do not supplly. Excellent value.Read full review
As a keen bird watcher you always want the best bit of kit but Leica, Swarovski, Zeiss HD binoculars involve remortgaging your house! I had heard good reviews about the Ultra HD Bushnell from various birding magazines and at about a 6th of the cost of the big names thought it worth a punt. Firstly, they come in an excellent sturdy case with a cloth bag inside. In addition to a very comfortable standard strap they also include a harness designed to distribute the weight across the back rather than around the neck which is a big bonus on long days out. The binoculars feel solid - a tad heavier than I would like but not too much so. The caps over both sets of lens do the job well. The view is really crisp and noticeably so on overcast low light conditions. The colours are bright with very little fringing. It took me a little time to get the optimum position to suit me but I guess this is true of any new pair of binoculars. Overall excellent choice for those without a big budget but wanting the benefits of HD glass.Read full review
Bought these binoculars mainly for a trip to Kruger National Park and for general use afterwards. These binoculars are great quality and the size means you can take them anywhere. Viewing is crystal clear and the magnification perfect for my use of them. For the price I don't think you can get a better pair of binoculars.
I bought two of these to be Christmas presents for my Sons. I have owned a pair for years. The quality of the image is excellent and I love that I can focus on objects just 7 feet away. They are not too heavy to hold yet feel that they could take a lot of rough handling. My pair have been out on lots of hunting trips over the years and been knocked around a little but still perform as well now as when I first got them.
