There are a couple of things I don't like about this machine. But, this is my first experience with a serger, so, I guess it is to be expected. I miss the reverse feature of a regular sewing machine and the automatic presser foot down when you start to sew. It's also very messy! I had no idea! Good thing I recently purchased a mini-vac for my sewing area! Having said that, I love the serger!!! The threading is a lot easier than many blogs led me to believe. It sews so fast! I finished up about 20 squares for a quilt I'm making in about half the time. Amazing! It is surprisingly quiet. I can't wait to try out all the features it has! So glad I jumped in. Oh, and the price is quite satisfactory, and I loved the free shipping. It was delivered very quickly and no damage during transit.Read full review

First things first. The Mechanics of the Machine may be ok. The Plastic Parts are very cheap. And there are a few of them. The first thing that I noticed when I was unpacking the Machine was the Scrap Catcher. It seamed cheap to me. I also noticed that parts that are Metal on my other Machines are Plastic on this one. Even the Thread Stand is Plastic. Some Machines come prethreaded with different Colors of Thread so that the Path is easier to follow. The different Colors also help you familiarize yourself with the different threads and which one is which. And sometimes the path is Colored to match the Adjustments. This Machine comes with all White Thread installed. Black ( anything but White )would be great. The Machine is White. It was also a little bit more Expensive than my other Machines. That are more capable 2 Thread as well as 3/4. However for a Serger it's still not that expensive and its nice enough. Now for some good stuff. The Controls are plainly marked and conveniently located. It uses a standard Sewing Machine Needle. That's probably the most important thing. Overall it's, but it's not a Singer. OH and make sure that you attach the new Thread to the old and pull it through. It will save you lots of Time and Effort. Maybe even keep you from getting a Headache.Read full review

I'm relatively new to sewing. I have been sewing on a brother sewing machine for about a year and wanted to start sewing with knits. This little serger really comes in handy. A little overwhelming at first, but with some online video's, it was easy to operate. Even threading it the first time was pretty simple. :)

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! I couldn't believe that it was so EASY to thread and the stitches are gorgeous, even, and lovely when the tension is set at 4. The DVDs made everything even easier. I had been told not to bother with a serger because it was just too much trouble to thread. I have very big hands, so I knew I would be even more challenged. I needn't have worried. This will make my love of making clothing for my granddaughter even easier. If you are looking for an incredible and user-friendly serger, BUY THIS ONE!
