These are very good quality speakers. If you accept them for what they are, 4x6 dash speakers, you will not be disappointed. The highs and mids are great - bass, not so much, but they were never meant to be good low range speakers. I am running these with 100 watts RMS each, and they are fine with this power so far. The driver is a polymer material, not paper, so I did not hesitate to mount them in my '95 Jeep Wrangler. Be advised, if you want to install them in a Jeep YJ dash, you will need to cut a triangular shaped hole in your dash to provide room for the tweeters. The photos do not clearly show this. I thought they were flush mount, but they are not. The Jeep YJ dash is built for rear flush mounted 4x6 speakers. It was pretty straight forward to cut out the relief with a dremel and a cutoff wheel.Read full review

I had to drill the oblong holes out some to get them on the plastic studs on my 1986 Chevy S10 mounts, and no four holes in the alternative pairs on the speakers lined up exactly. But these are things I couldn't really expect from speakers that weren't designed specifically as replacements in a specific vehicle. The speakers sound good and were a good deal economically and I don't regret buying them. Many if not most people with newer cars might not have these issues.

Got these for a 1995 379 peterbilt and they bolted right up sounded great and the covers were a huge upgrade over stock. Sound quality is great not the enclosure for alot of bass but still do a good job. I'd say for the money you cant go wrong.

Speaker sound is great in my 03 Silverado extra cab, and using the same type of speakers inproves the sound quality.
