So, this says a lot, as I've bought Rogue bumper plates, a half rack, an olympic bar, and some powerblock dumbbells - but really - particularly when you consider the COST of the item, this is - hands down - the best purchase I've made this year in fitness gear. This particular product is one of the least expensive - there really is NO NEED to spend more than around $30 for something like this - yes, you can get one from rogue for nearly $80, but WHY? You're not going to lift that much, and 7 gauge steel is HEAVY - you don't need it. This is portable, you can throw it in your gym bag. It isn't too heavy but it IS STURDY and heavy duty enough for daily abuse. This thing REALLY expanded the way that I use my home weight equipment. You can use it for SO MUCH. Basically made a tower or cable system totally unnecessary. There are a lot of additional items for sale that are supposed to go with this thing - handles and double handles and rowing attachments - you don't need them. Grab the bar. Lift it, row with it, squat with it, use one hand, both hands, lift it overhead, lift it between your feet (your butt will thank you), train your core by alternating, rest it on your shoulder while facing it and front squat - there are SO MANY WAYS to use this thing. I stopped bringing it to the gym because my workout was interrupted too many times by people coming up to me to ask what it was and asking if they could try it! I found that I really only needed a couple of 35# bumper plates on the floor to hold it steady for most things, since those were the ones I tend to use least and don't need for anything else. They are NOT tall enough to take up all the room at the top but this does NOT affect it's function. It pivots perfectly. I put a square of foam flooring at the bottom under the stack of weight to protect the floor as it will put a "ring" in the gym mat or flooring. Everyone is getting this as a gift for Christmas this year. Really. It's that awesome. And it's really not that much money. I did research all the pricier options for this thing and I was nervous getting this one - so very glad I did. I don't need something that weighs down my gym bag - I won't use it. This is portable, sturdy, and perfect.Read full review

I bought 2 of these post landmines from Body Solid for less than the price of 1 from a major competitor. The Body Solid is the exact size as their's and same guage of iron. I am very impressed with the quality of Body Solids' products. So don't believe the hype!

My wife bought this item. I did not come with the weight plate shown but I was able to attach it to an Olympic bar weight rack and it is just as good as T Bar machines used in Public Gyms. I highly recommend this item for those whom have home gyms
