The clean channel gives my 1986 JCM 800 a run for its money. The response in the Club 40 II is remarkably spot on. The OD is aggressive, and the controls on the amp, simple but complete. I bought this so I wouldn't have to go to small gigs and carry in heavy equipment, and for this purpose it is going to be able to keep my JCM 800 sound at the practice and small gigs, and not break my back loading up everything all the time.

I love this amp I like the tone of tubes. This amp gets me the beautiful clean sound and the dirty sounds I was looking for this is a very versatile amp one that I think most can find their sound with. In my opinion this is a great value and a great buy love it!!

Nice, versatile amp. Really good for this price range. Even in 7W mode it can be very loud.

made by people who used to work at Marshall....in effect it is a Marshall with some extras in a very portable amp. the sound is killer and 40 watts cuts right thru onstage
