The screen is just like description, OEM. Very easy to install if you have the patience and the tools. The price kinda surprised me when I found this product. Most were over $30. Getting the screen replaced at a local phone store was $100 to get it put in! I enjoyed mine for a whole entire week. 7 days after putting it in I dropped it and cracked it again 😂 looks like I may have to order me a new one now!

I’m not sure if I landed on a bad piece, however, my screen replacement was very poorly put together with screws left out not only that, however, the biggest problem I had was that the screen was such bad quality that even when I placed in my original iPhone 6 home button, my Touch ID was no longer working. This only occurs with a faulty screen or a very cheap one. Personally I do not recommend it, better of buying a refurbished iPhone screen instead of one from China.

I transferred my original home button to this screen since I do use Touch ID. Keep in mind that Apple only allows you to use Touch ID with the original home button. However, Touch ID is no longer able to read or create fingerprints, even though it's enabled. I noticed that the quality of the home button this screen comes with is lower quality than my original home button, so I think this part may be the cause. The ribbon cables were also out of order so I had to reorganize those to install the screen properly. The edges of the screen also doesn't line up with the edges of the phone as perfectly as the original screen did, which also caused my phone's case to not fit as well as it used to. Auto-brightness also does not work. It's not even an option in Settings anymore. As far as I can tell, the rest of the phone's functions still work. If you want something cheap just to get you by, this product may work for you. Personally, I use all of these functions so it's very disappointing for me.Read full review

I didn't realize that in order for the Touch ID to continue working one needs to transfer the home button from the old display assembly to the new one. I threw away the old assembly before figuring that out and now my Touch ID doesn't work. It makes sense from a security standpoint as the Touch ID is paired with each phone's logic board, but it might be nice for this product to be listed with that bit of information so others can avoid this problem.

I went to the phone store hoping to trade in my phone as the screen was broken so bad you could only use half of it and that half was hardly viewable. Also, the phone kept rebooting every 15 seconds. It was really hard to use and it wasn’t fun anymore. The phone store people said I should make up a story about how the screen got cracked and use the insurance to get a new phone it would cost about $112. I went on eBay and found this screen for 31 dollars. I installed it and it was so easy. I believe anyone could install the screen themselves. Also I noticed I needed an update on my phone so I replaced the screen and updated the software and now my phone is like brand new. I’m really really happy I bought the screen off eBay. Praise God!
