Easy to Assemble
I was really surprised how easy it was to put together. Especially after looking at all the parts when I opened the box. I did end up with one extra piece, but over all a success lol. It seems to be pretty stable. Does not come with the pole so make sure you get the right kind. Some are round while others are a triangle. Very expensive mistake to make. Oh and good advice get the sleeve for the pole to go in that way you can remove during off season or move to another location since these birdies are very picky and cautious where they live. Good luck.

Snap together plastic, what you see is what you get
All plastic, with what appears to be plastic coated corrugated cardboard for the interior walls. Perches won't last long before falling out. The pole mount is a triangle shaped opening that is specific for the pole sold by S&K for over $50. To use a round or wooden pole you have to purchase an adapter. Once assembled it does appear to be somewhat sturdy, but not sure how many seasons this will last. The 12 apartments front and rear are easy to clean, whereas the 4 apartments on the sides are not (you have to bend a corner of the (cardboard) floor to dump it into the upper apartments. The perches do not attach very securely, two of mine fell out right away as the "snap" areas were too small. It has been up over a week and no Purple Martins, not sure if they haven't found it or they don't like it. Read full review

I opened for business as a martin "landlord" this morning, the BH16 Martin House was VERY WELL explained as to assembly and the S&K company appears to be most helpful. I'm new at this bird house thing, but I am quite pleased with this new hobby.

This item is middle of the road, the plastic or poly style is just OK, it is light weight, but worried about wind in the future, design is good & attractive, we'll see in the future if the birds take up residence. The survey needs some maybe box not just yes or no
