Battlefield 3 is a great game. That's all there is to it. If you own a PC that can run it, I would definitely recommend this game to anybody. The only thing though is that if you do not have internet, the game would be a let down. For the most part, the only part worth purchasing is the multiplayer. The single player is nice, average, yet generic campaign that you wouldn't expect. Definitely not the blockbuster action you would get from say MW3 for instance, but who buys an FPS for the story! It's good, not as good as Bad Company 2 or MW2 or 3, but still very good. A lot of care was taken into the game, but I feel that the single player was the only part that was lacking. Besides the fact it isn't that great, its only 4 to 5 hours long. Now we'll move onto the multiplayer. What everyone's here for. If your PC can run it at 40-60 Frames a second, you will enjoy this game, SO MUCH. The graphics are beautiful first off, everything looks great from the textures on rocks to guns to vehicles to everything. It all looks stunning. I own the game on the Xbox and PS3 and I have to say that the graphics like #1 on the PC BY FAR. This is obviously due to the fact that the Xbox and PS3 are old systems, but still, even the PC on medium settings produces a greater experience than on consoles. Besides that, there are so many things to do. I don't think you will ever get bored with this game. Buddy up with 3 of your friends and create a squad, or just pair up with randoms, if you all have Mics the game is going to be in your favor. You don't need killstreaks in order to succeed in battlefield, you just need co-ordination, which you get with the great squad system. With your buddies spawning in on eachother and each person fulfilling their own role that will ultimately help the team, the game is so fun and rewarding just for playing it the right way. If you work together you will feel the reward, unlike other shooters out there *cough*Call of Duty*cough*. There are so many things to unlock that I don't think you could ever get bored. With the 3 classes you can always switch things up, and they all have different yet similar weapons and unique perks. From ribbons and badges to guns and attachments and soldier uniforms and dogtags there are so many things to collect to personalize your soldier and make your character unique. I don't think any other game could capture this rewarding feeling of having your squad come out on top or your team dominate the opposition. If you have the money and the system JUST BUY THIS GAME ITS BLOODY AMAZING. I give this game a 4/5 only due to the storyline being complete garbage, but if they fix that up the game would be a 5/5. BUY IT ITS THE MULTIPLAYER THAT MATTERS. Oh yeah. Jets.Read full review
Great game, much better than Call of Duty in my opinion, but those games are also very different from each other. Call of Duty is more arcade-y with small teams on small maps and quick matches. Battlefield is more strategic with large teams on very large maps and games that can last for 30+ minutes. Battlefield is also much more balanced than the newer Call of Duties, but there are also fewer guns and attachments to deal with. Overall I would say I prefer Battlefield 3 more than Modern Warfare 3 or any of the other recent shooter. It's just a good game. If you want to read an actual review of this game then go to giantbomb or something, because I'm too lazy to write a full length one myself.
I needed to install and setup to play from cd/dvd; I did not pay for online internet to feel free to enjoy the game. Two cd/dvd; for what reason? Please excuse me because I really can not rate the game; I really enjoyed the possibilities of the graphics by way of advertising. Your valued customer.... PS! I wasn't able to download or use the game in view of the internet site needed and its overall depiction to address the matter. I assumed since their two cd/dvd in which to setup on the computer ~ it would be simply play and enjoy an anytime without third party involvement!

I bought this game because I'm FPS game fan, my first impression was that this is a lot better than battlefield II, graphics looks great, the thematic is nice too. I'm a little bit dissapointed with the enemys, because they don't react according with the act, they don't look to smart when are shooting, lol. I gave 4 stars because I think that this game can be better than it is, I like games that inmerse you in to it as a part of the battle. Other than that pretty good so far. Thanks
Product was in good shape and CD and packaging were in great shape. Have not used it yet; don't have a CD key of my own. This is an older edition of Battlefield, but a step up from my old Battlefield 2. I am a part-time PC gamer--just for fun. Reports I've heard are that it is a great game and the ltd. ed. has extras.
