Great crossbow, sometimes doesn't group shots well. But this is common with reverse draws I have fired. Great overall value. The scope is a very good addition to the package and is a good quality scope. The $200 trigger upgrade Barnett did prior to shipping was done very sloppy though. Not only does the pin seem to not sit correct but when it was forced together it chipped and cracked a bunch of the camo wrap near the pin. Satisfied with purchase, did not live up to the Barnett quality I expect though.

Nice workmanship and cosmetitic quality is great. Accuracy is very good Downside is there's lots of vibration and it very loud when firing I was shocked at how loud it was Overall a very good package for the 500.00 price range Reverse limbs are indicative easy to carry and the string ing the limbs is a very safe option. Hope this helps If Barnett can quiet this cross bow somehow it would be perfect Larry CHAPMAN

Wow. I love everything about it. Reverse limb is the only way to go. Pay alittle extra for that feature. Once you handle it you'll no why. The reverse limb design puts the weight of the crossbow at the center of the bow verses being "nose" heavy. Handling a conventional and a reverse limb design side by side, and you'll understand what I mean. It feels more like a rifle or field gun. I must say though that the longer power stroke "which is common with all reverse limb crossbows", and the 3lbs trigger pull, took a bit to get use to. It's not quit the same as shooting a firearm because of it's light weight. It's not as forgiving for a "trigger flincher". A longer power stroke means that the arrow takes that extra mil-a-second before it is out of the bow rail no matter how fast it is, which means that holding it steady through the shot is impairative, and the end result is a longer, flatter shooting crossbow. I find that it helped me allot to keep the trigger depressed all the way through the the shoot until I have hit my target, and than releasing the trigger. This simple technic definitely tightened my groups out to 50 yards! but, this holds true with any bow with a longer power stroke. There's not a lot of reviews out there on these bows and the ones that I've seen we're people complaining about bad grouping and poor accuracy. Again it took me some time to get use to the bow itself, and theirs a reason for it's light nearly "hair" 3 pound trigger pull, so your less likely to move during the shoot, than if it had a heavier trigger pull. Now, I am very confident at 60 yards! Hopefully I've helped make your mind up on leaning towards the Barnett Vicious, and maybe even help improve shooting technic. Thanks for reading. And... O' ya...... Most importantly.....It looks really cool!!!!Read full review

Illuminated scope impossible to sight in. Replacement scope not illuminated. Correct replacement on backorder. No idea where first two bolts went when shots taken from 10 yards. Hope new scope arrives before opening MO archery season in 3 weeks.

Awesome design, just started shooting it but only negative I can say is that it could be little bit quieter. Otherwise it's great. Quickly sighted it in on Sunday morning and hunted Monday evening and shot a beautiful 8pt buck. The bolt went clean through the left shoulder and out just behind his right leg!!! Awesome kill!
