My dog does not like the mint flavor doggie toothpaste out there, but she loves this stuff. The paste has a meaty smell, and taste (Although I can't personally vouch for that one). The paste itself is just the right consistency to stick to your finger or brush, when using it in the dog's mouth. It's not runny or goopy. Even if your dog is a bit skittish, as long as you get it in the dogs mouth and rub it around a bit, it will still work on controlling the tarter, because it works with enzymes to break down tarter/plaque. I have been using this same toothpaste for years, and am very satisfied with the performance.

Arm and Hammer's dog toothpaste is great. It hardly has a smell and the little smell that it gives off is of mint. It seems to do the work and my dogs love it.

The beef flavor makes it easier to brush my dogs teeth. Always give him a Dan after brushing, so he thinks it's a game and he's getting a reward.
