Arachnophobia has many things. It has comedy. It has horror. It has a hero with a fear of spiders. It has a battle scene - hero against the spiders. It also features John Goodman in a fun supporting role. Do steer clear of the trailer as it will mislead into thinking it's a comedy along the lines of Young Frankenstein.

A well made movie sometimes scary with the occasional funny bit (no pun intended :). Good special effects, well cast and acted but it still won't make you like spiders.
I purchased this movie in VHS for my son. He enjoys watching these scary movies. I put it in the same class as Snakes on a Plane and the Poltergeist series. He enjoys watching this movie.
Arachnophobia is good movie, have closed captioned included. Very good movie and interesting happening.
