I love this product & the way it connect to the iPad. Simple to use, very dependable. Typing feels good and smooth just like you are typing on a real key board. Direct connection to the iPad is great it alleviate any connection with other type of keyboards using bluetooth and free your Bluetooth connection to other accessories like external sound system. I love the fact I can type on a key board while using touch to navigate on the screen. The two issues I do not like about this keyboard are; hence the 4 stars rating: 1. The additional thickness (not consistent throughout the cover) when you fold the keyboard in the close position; 2. The cost of the product is very high in comparison to comparable product in the market. I believe that Apple should reevaluate their pricing strategy for this product and make it more accessible to buyers.;Read full review

At first I was really excited for it - hard to find a SmartConnector keyboard for an old iPad Pro. When I first bought my iPad Pro, I got a Logitech SmartConnect keyboard for it, which I thought was tremendous. It gave out after about 3 years and is no longer made. I bought a Lenrich USB keyboard to replace it, which was heavy as a pig but worked okay. When it gave out, I looked for another SmartConnector keyboard. I found this on eBay and thought I'd give it a shot. It arrived okay and was in good condition. When I first used it, I noticed a subtle warp. It wouldn't sit solidly on a table. Irritating, but no big deal. A few months in, I started getting messages from iOS saying "accessory not supported." If I wiggled it around enough, I could get it to work but it seemed the contacts were no longer secure. Those messages got more and more obnoxious until I just replaced it with another Lenrich USB keyboard... Read full review

The Apple keyboard is designed for the iPad Pro, and that makes all the difference. Pros: 1. The Pro 13 is 50% heavier than the Pro 9.7. Non-Apple keyboards must carry their own battery on board, adding weight to the complete Pro 13 assemblage. The Apple keyboard takes its power from the Pro 13 without any additional on-board battery. 2. The keyboard is completely sealed, so fluids will not be a problem if spilled, even directly on the keyboard. Every drop of that Starbucks coffee counts, and it would be a real shame if your $150 investment were to fail through an accidental spill. 3. The keyboard holds solidly to the Pro 13 with magnets, and it is convenient to fold up into a small footprint for transport in my attaché case. Cons: 1. The caps lock key is large, and I hit it unintentionally frequently. Bummer, adds to the corrections that I must make to any document that I am typing. 2. Not backlit. This does not make a lot of difference to me, because I do not often type in low light, but it could be a problem for some. Would I buy it again? Yes. It's a bit pricey at $150, but I think it completes the package perfectly. Mine is space gray, and I have a space gray silicone cover on the backside of the Pro 13, perfectly matched, very good looking, very light for a 13 inch computer.Read full review

As I am using the keyboard currently, it does definitely add nice functionality to the iPad Pro. I don't use it all that often, so for me it is not a tremendous help. I feel that it does do a good job at what is was designed for, namely for allowing quicker and easier type input with a keyboard feel without losing the iPad Pro utility. It is neat how it charges off of the little connections along the long edge of the iPad, so you never have to plug it in. It also connects automatically and flawlessly everytime I use it. Getting it to set up correctly feels a bit wonky to start, but once I figured it out I can do it now without thinking much about it. Over all it is a good keyboard and cover. You will be hard pressed to equal its quality and seamless integration with anything non-Apple.

I tried two other keyboards mainly because this one wasn't available for four weeks. This is the keyboard I should have waited for because the iPad pro is already pretty heavy and the other keyboards added a lot of weight. This keyboard is very well constructed and extremely light weight. It lacks a couple of features the other keyboards had that are very nice, but the fact that it is lightweight overrides the fact that It does not have the other features. I love it and have used only this one since receiving it. I would purchase this product again, even though it is overpriced, and would highly recommend it to anyone needing a keyboard for their iPad Pro.
