This works well, I will say I recieved more channels on my Radio Shack indoor Antenna but not all of them strong, this picked up less channels (about half, and YES I tried pointing in all directions) but the channels that it received came in full strength! Which was a lot better than the $50 one I was using. Pixelating channels gets real old, real quick so I'm happy with this and NO MORE CABLE BILL!!!!!!!

This thing is junk!!! Installed on a 60ft tower, all new coax to the tv. It Looks impressive very heavy Contruction. Horrible performance, got more channels from a cheap amplified indoor antenna that cost $28. This thing should be outlawed for what it cost, might as well just burn ur money for the heat!

First I tried it right in livingroom. I picked up several channels nice and clear. Then I tried it out on the front porch. I picked up 14 channels nice and clear. Next I installed it in my garage attic picking 30 channels clear. Then I added a channel master rotor. It made things a lot easier to move the antenna to the best position. I was getting some pixilation on a couple of channels so I decided to add the winegard lna 200 amplifier . I live over 53 miles from most of the pittsburgh towers some much closer. All the channels were improved. Some didn't need improving but the amp did not cause any problem. I am very happy with The DB8E antenna I couldn't ask for more. Just watched beach party lots of old memories. If your thinking about buying this antenna you won't go wrong. Just make sure it's right for you. I did a lot of research before I made this choice for us. Hope this helps .Read full review

A bit bigger than I expected, however after easy assembly and mounting on a pole, it picks up very well. I tried an indoor window unit and got only a pbs station. With this one I have 35 channels and I am in a rural area 55 miles south of Pittsburgh. Got tired of the satellite dish company fighting with the local providers and dropping them. Very pleased with this antenna and the picture on the local channels is much better.

This antenna was installed with a RCA outdoor preamplifier. I live 55 miles east of Pittsburgh. Most of the transmitting towers are 47 miles away - way the crow flies. I get channels 2, 4, 22, 40, 53 Pittsburgh / Greensburg . I also get ch 6, Johnstown - which is in a opposite direction 110 degrees 35 miles - but, all bays are facing Pittsburgh. Ch 11 is 62 miles away and rarely comes in. The other 6 channels come in most of the time, (97% reliability for ch's 2,4,6,40), (initially 50% reliability for ch's 22,53 - ghost channel cancellation -- after careful positioning of the antenna, reliability went to 95%). The antenna is 16' above the ground - porch roof. Signal strength for the channels varies 45 to 75 most days - can hit 90 for ch's 2 or 4 under best atmospheric conditions - (LG TV tuner display). I have 2 mountain tops between my antenna and Pittsburgh, for the signal to go around - 2 edge obstruction. The first mountain top is 1/2 mile away, 7 degree rise. No trees are in the way. I get no VHF channels, just UHF. Caution: some of the rivets in the assembly were loose (bad electrical contact probable). I tightened the rivets up. Also the antenna requires a heavy duty (satellite dish) mount, mast height 40" to 60" Read full review
