I set up a wood boiler in my Shop to heat my 2300 sq ft home. I like the fact that the chemicals optic color is used to keep the amount needed in your system. I don't regularly do a Nitrate Test. I just look at the color now. I would buy it again . Since I am not using any antifreeze in my system I don't know how compatible it would be with polypropylene.

This review was prompted by an email asking me how I like my boiler treatment additive. Well, that's kinda like trying to prove a negative, right? I didn't spring a leak immediately upon adding it to the boiler, so I think we can assume it isn't harmful. I guess the question will be answered over the long term. I would say that if this product performs as well as the high priced stuff, then it is a very good buy. The cost is so much less! I have a pretty good idea of what regimen works on my water after 10 years of warranty testing, and the recommended dosage of this stuff seems about the same. So I'm just gonna follow the same routine on refills and do it for a whole lot less money. Where was this stuff ten years ago? I've been paying $115 + tax/gal and feeling like I was getting robbed every time my water test came back recommending I drain half my water and add yet another half gallon of $$ treatment. Sure wish I had all that money back. Read full review
