Great amp. Easy to use, does over its rated power, sturdy but not huge. I wish they had bigger power/ground terminals but a 4 gauge spade connector fits perfectly. 10/10 recommend this amp, this would drive 2 subs easily and be a banger if you had 2 amps pushing each sub

ALPINE has done it again. I always stick with a brand name that performs consistently and this unit is no exception. It defines the saying of good things come in small packages. Even the layout of where all the plugins and such make it a breeze to install and then when you fire it up it unleashes a fury of sound I actually had to turn it down.....never before now have I ever had to do so. My advise if you are on the edge about buying it, pull the trigger friend you will not be let down. I have two powering one 12" speaker each and the performance is so great you would think the sound was from a huge amp. Fits well behind the back seat in my Ford F250. Looking forward to many well sounding road trips to come!

I bought this amplifier to originally power 1 DVC Memphis PR Series 12 in subwoofer and loved it, I had it wired on the sub for 2 ohms and it did wonderful. I now have 2 of them powering a Pioneer TS-W3002D2 and they do very well considering how much power it takes to drive that woofer. I love the compact size of these amps and how easy they are to fit in tight places, but my only issue with them are the terminals being regular phillips head screws that can strip out rather easily if you use them more than just a couple of times. Bottom line: awesome amp to power just about any subwoofer out there for the normal enthusiast and amazing for the price! In my opinion its hard to beat the value for the output.
Never gets hot. Very efficient amp. I used 4 AWG wires to power and ground it. I drive a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder LE. My head unit is the KENWOOD DPX503 (I think this receiver distorts before it gets loud enough). I use a 12" Sony XPlod XS-L1236 Subwoofer in a custom made ported dual enclusure that I made out of MDF board 7 years ago. I used to have a Rockford Fosgate (150W x 2) amp. One of the channels burned out after a few months. They replaced it which lasted another 6 months before one channel burned out again. This amp is CLASS D which means it is 90% efficient (90% of the power coming from the battery is turning into watts of power going to the speakers). This extremely high efficiency translates into very little excess heat production. The sound is very pure with heavy lows. NO DISTORTION. It has a +15DB Bass boost which I keep around +7 and on my Kenwood receiver I have the SUB PRE-OUT set to +3 DB. Overall, I would highly suggest this AMPLIFIER for your Subwoofer. From over 10 years experience in car systems, I would rate this as the best sounding amplifier that I have ever used before.Read full review
This amp is awesome!! Have it powering a 12' woofer and people think it's two of them. Has a lot more watts than 500 easily.
