Wonderful to have Jeff Lynne back. The songwriting on this album is strong. While I’d have preferred more classic ELO touches, this is a nice comeback album. While “From Out of Nowhere” captures the feeling of ‘80’s ELO better, “Alone in the Universe” is a worthy collection (especially the first track, “When I was a Boy”).

I really enjoy the first five tracks, but the sixth and seventh I can easily skip. The eighth, ninth, and tenth are also acceptable. The first five tracks have echoes of the ELO that I came to greatly appreciate in the past, and up into today. This does not begin to compare with the "Light Years" CD with the very best of ELO.

I didn't own any or ELO'S music since 1975 album OUT OF THE BLUE. The I found cd time his best work. But this album his newest 2015 he still sounds the same excellent talent. His best song is the first one When I Was A Boy and the last one Alone One The Universe is very good and others are good according to ones personal taste. I enjoy most songs and to recommend it to Electric Light Orchestra fans. I din't know ELO band broke up 1985 and he has a new band members their sound excellent like in the old days. He's truly gifted singer musician one of my favorites.

It's Jeff Lynne. Sounds like he's stuck in the old ELO style. But it's good. Rock on, Jeff!!
