This case holder is the perfect size, works for small (36~38mm) to the larger cases (50~55mm). It is only slightly larger than the regular size and works for the same cases and larger ones. The vise mechanism is solid, maybe the screw is a little rough, but it holds the watch firmly and the multitude of holes allows for any type of case to be held securely. On larger and taller cases, the shoulders of the vise might contact the crystal or case, so make sure to protect them before tightening the vise.

This would be a great value IF all the holes were not drilled to typical India side of the road manufacturing standards (Dirt in threads, holes too big). The plastic parts are straight sided, resulting in an outward cant when pressure is placed on them, resulting in your movement squirting out the top. I can fix this, so I would rate it a good value just for the materials, but, for someone who can not, or does not WANT to fix it, I rate it a poor value.

I have used this several times since purchasing it. The large capacity to fit oversize watches is just what you need when changing batteries in screwback watches. It holds them securley in the four adjustable lugs without maring the watch. I use a svelt cloth to be on the safe side with very expensive watches. This is for holding watch cases, I haven't tried holding watch "movements" as I have never seen a movement this large and most movements are too small to realy use this.

I bought two other holders prior to this one. It turned out that this holder was perfect for my larger pocket watches (18s size). It has adjustment options that accommodate large and small watches.

The clamp does not evenly grip the watch case. Either the griping studs or the mounting holes are not aligned. There are supposed to be four griping points, When the clamp is closed the object is only secured by two or three of the studs. The item is fairly expensive no better than it works. While it appears that the materials used are OK. workmanship is lacking. When possible it is best to buy American over imported every time, even if imported is cheaper.
